PM Only -- Sorry Guys

Artist Info:
Seeda debuted with the name Shida da Shadi in 1999 (feels so long ago...). He joined I-Dea's production team, Flash Sounds, in 2003 and released Ill Vibes. Three years later (2006), he hooked up with Bach Logic (also known for his work with Doberman Inc) and put out Hana to Ame. Seeda is also featured on Dabo's most recent album, Baby Mario World, in the track "Murder Weapon."

Album Info:
This one dropped in December of last year. All tracks are produced by Bach Logic., who has a very distinct style of production, in my opinion. I saw a live performance of Adrenalin, Hana to Ame, and Futeishokusha, but I'm not sure if those are the ones planning to be released as singles.

My Thoughts:
I can't say enough about this one. It totally took me by surprise. When I checked it out I didn't know anything about Seeda, and I decided to check it out just because of Bach Logic. I couldn't believe I downloaded an album of an artist I've never heard of before and liked every single track. I've been a fan of Seeda ever since, and BL continues to impress me every time I find an album with him on it. You can really tell three years have passed from Seeda's last album release. His style is the same mostly, but his voice is deeper. This beats of most of the songs on the album have a really cool, laid-back feel to it, which is where BL shines imo. Anyways, I highly recommend this one if you really like straight up, real Hip-Hop. Anybody know who that is rappin with Seeda in Futeishokusha?

Ha, this wasn't the album I was planning to upload, but I was listening to it earlier and decided to. Plus, I couldn't find a pic of the album cover for Big-O and DJ Watarai's new CD. It's not Japanese or urban, but I bought Maroon 5's new album yesterday and I was actually pretty impressed. I was afraid it was going to be a ton of slow love songs like Jason Mraz's latest album, but it's actually got a pretty cool, upbeat, old-school feel to it. A couple tracks remind me of the Police (one of the few bands my mom listens to that I actually kinda like lol). Matter of fact, one song on the album sounds like they jacked the beat from the Police's "Every Breath You Take." Speaking of American albums, I HIGHLY recommend Timbaland's Shock Value. Nearly every track is hot, even the random rock ones. It's got some killer names up there too: 50 Cent, Dr.Dre, Justin Timberlake, Nellie Furtado, Elton John, and Fallout Boy. Jay-Z's Kingdom Come has some pretty tight tracks on it too if you're looking for 100% Hip-Hop, but you can expect good ones from him. Enjoy the album, and thanks for checking out the Miyako!

wow.
I'm actually more in shock than anything about this journal entry.

I've know about SEEDA for about 3 or so years now. I prefer his more aggressive persona. I was completely caught off guard when i heard 花と雨。It didn't have the same appeal as SHIDA DA SHADI or older SEEDA. But one thing that was interesting to be was the the way he was pronouncing Japanese. It was a bit difficult to get used to, but it was something different. People on Japanese message boards say that SEEDA was a bit too gangsta on this last album. Maybe I agree with them, as I prefer the less gangsta but more Hardcore SEEDA. The idea of BL producing the whole album didn't give me any kind of extra interest in the album. But all and all I did enjoy some songs: "不定職者", "GAME", "花と雨", and the Bonus Track.

It's interesting how no one ever considers Maroon 5, even though their influence seems to be the upbeat version of Stevie Wonder. Oh well.

I'm surprised you enjoy Timberland's album. I thought the whole thing was crap. In fact a 4/10. Oh well, to each his own.

yeah to each his own lol. I kinda enjoyed the overly gangsta seeda. I do think that "I'm a bad mutha fucker" in Hana to Ame's hook is a bit unnecessary (especially since it doesn't follow the scheme), but everything else is kinda cool. Actually, it took me a lil bit to warm up to most of the album, especially the slower songs, but once I started to listen to it I really loved it. I dunno, something clicked I guess.

It's nice to see people that listen to the same genres of music mostly, but with totally different tastes.

i thought the cd was ok..i like b.l rappin(maybe he will rap on the next Doberman Inc. album since he is stated as a member), he sounds completely different from when he speaks on D INC. albums and the beats were pretty good. seeda is ok but the beats kept me listning. 7/10
